Structured Documents Represented by Conceptual Graphs - A Simple Formalism for Presenting Structured Documents
نویسندگان
چکیده
Each structured document can be represented by means of XML and an associated DTD. The goal of this article is to present a formal model of a structured document, and to make a representation of a document described by the model with a conceptual graph and a related DTD.

Knowledge Acquisition using Documents, Conceptual Graphs and a Semantically Structured Dictionary
In this paper, we first show how in CGKAT, our knowledge acquisition tool, any document element and its semantics may be represented using the Conceptual Graphs formalism (Sowa, 1984) and a structured document editor. Then, we study the kinds of hypertext links that may be set between documents elements and concepts or relations of the knowledge base (such links enables the use of search techni...
متن کاملConceptual Structures and Structured Documents
In the first part of this article, we present the benefits of using a structured document editor for storing, editing, and structuring knowledge representations, and show how this can be done for knowledge represented in the Conceptual Graph (CG) formalism. In structured documents, document elements (DEs) are typed and can be organized by structural or hypertext links. They can also be shared (...
متن کاملRepresenting and Utilising Knowledge for Understanding Structured Documents
This paper presents a document analysis system which is capable of extracting the semantics of specific text portions of structured documents. The main component of the system is the knowledge representation scheme-called h s c o , Frame Representation of Structured Documents. It allows the definition of knowledge about document components as well as knowledge about analysis algorithms in a uni...
متن کاملMultiX: an XML based formalism to encode multi- structured documents
This paper concerns the issue of document multi-structuring. For various use objectives, many distinct structures may be defined simultaneously from the same original document. For example, a document may have both a structure for logical content organisation (logical structure), and a structure expressing a set of content formatting rules (physical structure). We have already proposed a generi...
متن کاملComplementary Approaches to Representing Differences Between Structured Documents
Structured documents Documents can be represented as structures with a hierarchical arrangement of text and non-text nodes, where nodes are labelled by category names such as “paragraph” and “section”. Representing documents this way is a natural consequence of using the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) to encode the content and form of documents [10, 11, 7]. SGML is widely used. HTM...
